Our exceptional facilities include modern, spacious classrooms equipped with all the professional tools you’ll need to become a skilled makeup artist. Students will be required to purchase a student kit refer to fee schedules.

Our Melbourne CBD and Brisbane campus training rooms are flooded with plenty of natural light and boast spectacular views of the city while our suburban Peninsula campus is conveniently located for students living close to that area.

By providing you with the opportunity to learn within a relaxed environment fully equipped with everything you need, we make it easy for you to develop the skills and confidence required to flourish within the makeup industry.

As per the training package, this qualification has no pre-requisites.

In order to qualify for this course, you will be required to complete a pre-training review and either successfully complete a Language Literacy and Numeracy test or be able to provide valid evidence of Year 12 completion.

Students under the age of 18 are required to attend an interview with parent/guardian prior to the acceptance of their enrolment.


This number of classes varies according to the intake you enrol into.

Duration ranges from 52 weeks (Full-time). The length of the course will increase if interrupted by Public Holidays and School Holidays scheduled by Pragmatic Training.

Work Placement

You will be required to complete 15 hours of work placement in a Production environment to meet the training package requirements and to ensure that you have gained practical skills and knowledge to work in the industry.

Nationally Recognised Training

Credit Transfer (CT)

Pragmatic Training recognises Qualifications and Statement of Attainments issued by another RTO (Registered Training Organisation), AQF authorised issuing organisation such as University, or authenticated VET transcripts issued by the Registrar.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) RPL assessed on a case by case basis, so it is only available on application. Students will be charged per unit of competency at the cost equal to the tuition fee of the unit(s) of competency.
