Makeup artistry has many perks, and throughout my freelancing career I’ve enjoyed working with many talented people, amazing brands and travelling for shoots. Excitingly, my latest project was working behind the scenes with Rae Morris filming educational tutorials for Mecca (who also happens to be one of the National Academy of Beauty’s industry partners)!
The tutorials were jammed packed with tips and tricks using her world first magnetic brushes now available from their new home, Mecca Cosmetica.
As a leading editorial makeup artist featured in Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, and former creative ambassador at the National Academy of Beauty, it’s no wonder makeup aficionados have been waiting for her brushes to be available through makeup and beauty powerhouse, Mecca Cosmetica. The brushes are not only brilliant to use but they’re also aesthetically beautiful, cruelty free, and hand made in Japan by the best brush makers known worldwide!
Working backstage for Mecca and Rae Morris was an experience like none other. The room was high energy and full of positive vibes, and Rae used products from leading makeup houses Nars, Ellis Faas, RMS and Stila Cosmetics to create beautiful looks with the brushes.
It’s easy to see why Mecca has been in the top 5 best places to work for the last four years. The team were welcoming, fun and even gave me a goodie bag filled with makeup and skin care.
Check out below the sneaky behind the scenes video I filmed with the gorgeous makeup and brush set up – enjoy!
